Physical shops vs E-shops
The lockdown brought negative results in the fashion market in Greece, as the consumer spending decreased by 83% in physical shops, compared to the corresponding Q1 & Q2 of 2019, according to the research of the Hellenic Statistical Authority.
In contrast according to Hellenic Federation of Enterprises, the number of online users increased by more than 200% and the consumer spending through online stores increased up to 170% per week (compared to 2019), while e-commerce revenue in March and April increased sixfold. The truth is that the increase particularly affected supermarkets and grocery stores. We have to highlight that most Greek fashion companies or young fashion designers don’t have e-shops, so there are no accurate results for their sales.
After reading these numbers, in summary you can meet the opportunity of growing to a new channel, the digital one. Behave wise with your debt. Use loans as an investment and not as a source to pay debt.
Use the e-shops smart.
There is a way to have increase in sales in both physical and digital shops!
